This Privacy Policy applies exclusively to personal information collected through:

• The TAPP Film Submission Form;

• Associated submission materials;

• Communication with TAPP in connection with film submissions;

• Our email platform and online submission tools;

• Any related communications as part of the film evaluation and onboarding process.

• Evaluate your submission for distribution suitability;

• Contact you regarding your submission status or required next steps;

• Carry out due diligence on film rights and licensing;

• Prepare or propose a distribution agreement;

We do not use your personal data for automated decision-making.

• Contractual necessity -- Where processing is necessary to take steps at your request prior to entering into a distribution agreement.

• Internally with authorized TAPP personnel for review and administration;

Your submission data is stored securely in our cloud infrastructure and internal databases. We retain personal information:

• As long as necessary to evaluate your submission;

• If your film is selected, throughout the term of any distribution agreement and a reasonable period thereafter;

• For a maximum of 24 months for unselected submissions, unless you request deletion earlier.

We implement strict administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your data, including encryption, access controls, and routine audits.

Depending on your jurisdiction (including under Canadian federal and provincial privacy laws), you may have rights to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you;

• Correct or update your information;

• Stripe, for secure payment processing related to submission fees. All payment data entered during the submission process is processed through Stripe and is subject to Stripe's own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

These tools may collect non-personally identifiable data such as browser type, IP address, pages visited, and time spent. They are subject to their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.

If you are submitting from outside Canada, please be aware that your data will be processed and stored in Canada and/or in other jurisdictions where our third-party service providers operate. By submitting your film, you consent to this cross-border data transfer.

We may revise this Privacy Policy periodically. Email will be our primary method of notifying you about material changes, in addition to posting updates on our website. Your continued participation in the submission process constitutes your acceptance of any changes.

In the event of a personal data breach, TAPP will:

• Promptly assess the scope and impact of the breach;

• Notify affected individuals by email as soon as reasonably feasible;

• Report the breach to regulatory authorities where legally required;
